Chris Gould

As EVP and Chief Sustainability Officer, Mr. Gould is responsible for the overall leadership of California Resources Corporation’s ESG program in the oil, gas, and emerging carbon industry. Prior to his current role, Mr. Gould built and led Fortune 100 Exelon Corporation’s strategic planning, sustainability, and innovation programs in the electric and gas industry. As Head of Corporate Strategy and Chief Innovation Officer at Exelon, Mr. Gould built a consensus vision of the energy future and led several initiatives to build and operate Exelon’s R&D and emerging technology incubation programs. In his role as Chief Sustainability Officer, Mr. Gould led Exelon’s climate change strategy as well as its overall Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) program. He is the Co-founder of the Exelon Foundation’s Climate Change Investment Initiative (2c2i) which makes venture capital investments in early-stage energy, mobility, agriculture, and water startups to advance climate mitigation and resiliency in communities.
